Abstract

The present article demonstrates how the youth in Africa are passing life, and meeting their needs as far as food, employment, welfare and the like are concerned from sociological point of view. About one-fifth of population in Africa are the youth generally deprived of sufficient income to meet their basic needs. Such youth usually marry very young, and as a result get many children. The result of such a scenario is more young people in the years to come. Many young people in African countries have to inevitably migrate to more developed countries where they can earn their living. Hence, the African continent needs a lot of investments as far as the youth situation is concerned. In this way, following a sociological study, the weaknesses of such people could be found, and possibly adequate solutions may be provided. Youth usually in the age groups 15-24 ever look for independence in social and economic contexts. As far as the African girls are concerned, the African countries and governments have a heavy responsibility to bring about the necessary reforms in the young girl population. However, many youth are currently drawn to urban areas on the African continent for the sake of modernity and prosperity.
